Steel Bridge at Virginia Tech

The 2022 ASIC National Steel Bridge Competition was held on May 27 & 28 at the campus of Virginia Tech. Both AISC and ASCE cosponsor the event. The winners from the 20 regional ASCE Student Symposiums competed for to earn the top spot for steel bridge. Virginia Tech not only hosted the competition but represented the Virginias Student Symposium in the competition. In 2002 Marvin Hilton suggested that the State of Virginia should have a Continuing Education requirement to maintain a Professional License. Many other States had already done so, and he felt it was time for Virginia to follow suite. The VA Section Board of Directors (BOD) agreed and suggested that Marvin write up a draft proposal.
