(Current award amounts are three (3) – $2,750 scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year)
The ASCE Virginia Section invites:
• Student Members at Virginia Section colleges and universities
• Children and grandchildren of ASCE Virginia Section members
• Life members, attending an ABET accredited civil engineering program
The ASCE Virginia Section scholarship is funded by direct contributions from ASCE members as well as contributions from ASCE VA Section and Branches. Eligibility includes being a citizen of the United States, a student member of ASCE at a Virginia Section college or university or a child, grandchild or legal dependent of an ASCE Virginia Section member/Life Member; being enrolled full-time in a four-year ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Civil or equivalent civil related engineering program or a program actively pursuing accreditation; being a freshman, sophomore or junior at time of application; must be a freshman, sophomore or junior at time of application, and having a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. A recipient of a scholarship in one year may apply the following year. Criteria for selection include academic performance, employment experience, extracurricular activities and professor recommendation.
